Project Advisory Committee will comprise 7 external senior independent advisors who will contribute to the monitoring and guidance of the project as a whole. They will come from a multi-disciplinary set of backgrounds; industry, beef production, science, consumer and regulatory authorities. Each year they will be presented with relevant reports collated by the Governing Board, including implementation plans in time for their advice to be considered by the Governing Board. The membership of this group will be agreed with the Commission and the Governing Board. The Group will be asked to review project outputs (including the science, technology transfer mechanisms, training programmes, dissemination methods and new strategic pathways) and to advise on strategic issues (e.g. effects of EU policy shifts as a consequence of CAP reform for example) that may influence project development. It is envisaged that the chair of this Committee will be invited to the meeting of the Governing Board on an annual basis in order to discuss proposed strategic direction
